What is UP Globe?
UP Globe is a WordPress plugin that allows you to test your website's speed and availability from real devices across the world (200 countries / territories) using residential IP addresses. It measures Time to First Byte (TTFB) per country, helping you identify regions where your website is slow, blocked, or degraded.
Key Features
- Visualize global performance via dynamic charts
- Test site access from behind firewalls, bans, or CDN blocks
- Each country performs its own DNS lookup, so CDN-based sites are tested against the actual edge node used in that region
Who Is It For?
If you serve an international audience or want to verify if your content is truly available globally, UP Globe gives you insights from real users in real places - not just data center probes.
How TTFB Is Measured
- TTFB includes connection time (TCP/TLS), request transmission, server processing, and the delay until the first byte is received
- DNS is resolved in advance to ensure consistent IP targeting - ideal for CDN and proxy-based testing from specific regions
- Even though TTFB is sometimes defined differently across tools, our approach focuses on server responsiveness from an already-known edge node, excluding DNS variability for consistency
